The United States Could Have Prevented Terror Attack in Russia
The New York Times, the United States withheld critical information about a terrorist attack in Moscow from Russia due to fears of compromising their sources.
"The hostile relations between Washington and Moscow prevented the United States from sharing all the necessary information about the terrorists' plans, as there were concerns that Russian authorities could discover the sources or the intelligence-gathering methods," reports The New York Times.
After Russia was informed in early March that there was a high risk of a terror attack within the next 48 hours, it primarily focused on this timeframe. When no attack occurred within this interval, the warning was met with skepticism, according to Meduza.
