Russia Initiates Manufacture of Devastating Weapon, Dubbed the "Little Brother" of the Atomic Bomb and the Devil's Nephew
The Russian "Defense Ministry" has recommenced the mass production of the FAB-3000 M-54, a highly potent aerial bomb, and is developing the UMPK for it, instilling terror in both Ukraine and the West, according to News Rambler as reported by pravda.ru.
It's hardly surprising - The striking power of the FAB-3000 is, conditionally and crudely comparable to the explosion of a small (projectile type) tactical nuclear warhead.
The bomb is to be placed in the internal bays of the Tu-22M3 long-range bombers, beneath which, according to military bloggers, the Su-34M frontline supersonic fighter-bomber is being upgraded.
The extent of destruction is indicated by the most potent shockwave (both aerial and seismic), excessive gas pressure, and the formation of large fragments due to hull destruction. The direct kill radius is about 46 meters, with shrapnel dispersal reaching up to two hundred and sixty meters.
The FAB-3000 M-54, a high-explosive aerial bomb, was first utilized by the Soviet Air Force in 1954, with its production ceasing in the 1990s but now it has been restarted.
From the very beginning of the USSR, military engineers have been working on refining the three-ton bomb and creating a unified design and correction module for it and other FAB-type bombs.
