Hungarian Dance University Students Win Three Gold Medals in Italy
Students from the Hungarian Dance University secured five podium finishes, including three first-place victories at the 10th IBCDC Domenico Modugno International Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition.
Participants from the Hungarian Dance University clinched five podium positions, three of which were gold, during the 10th IBCDC Domenico Modugno International Ballet and Contemporary Dance Competition. The event, held in Lecce, a city in southern Italy, from March 22 to 24, saw five students from the university participating and excelling, according to Színház Online.
In the classical solo category, Liza Szűcs claimed the top spot. The duo of Júlia Precup and Félix Boboi also secured first place in the Contemporary Duo category. The third gold was awarded in the Classical Group category to the trio of Liza Szűcs, Benedek Sánta, and Ferenc Pethő for their performance in "Fairy Doll, pas de trois."
In addition, Félix Boboi placed third in the classical solo category, Júlia Precup was second in the modern solo category, and Ferenc Pethő also made it into the top ten.
The students' preparation was overseen by masters Angéla Kövessy, Balázs Krajczár, Sándor Túri, Noémi Kulcsár, and Attila Kalmár. The Hungarian Dance University's team was accompanied to the competition by master Krisztina Végh, with master Mónika Barna representing the university in the jury.
