Philip Rákay criticized András Bencsik for his criticism of his film
Philip Rákay didn't remain silent about the serious criticism of his film coming from the government side.
He practically slammed András Bencsik, the editor-in-chief of the Demokrata, who extensively elaborated in his article why the recently released film "Now or Never" is bad.
"It's a two-thousand-year-old story. On Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, everyone's true colors are revealed," Rákay Philip responded.
It was Bencsik from the government side who first stated that Rákay's short film, made with 7 billion forints, is a very weak creation.
"It's a bad thing to write something bad about a patriotic piece of art, but it's even worse to endure such a piece of art. However, the film 'Now or Never!' turned out bad in every aspect, and the vast amount of money spent on it doesn't make it any more tolerable," said Bencsik, who considers this case a good example of why amateurs shouldn't make movies.
