The band is set to perform in Bratislava and Vienna.
Rumors of Angus Young and his band embarking on a European tour have been circulating for some time, and now the official concert dates and venues have been revealed. While Budapest is not on the list, Hungarian fans are still in luck, as they can catch the performance of the legendary Australian rock band with just a short trip.
On this tour, Cliff Williams will not be the bassist instead, Chris Chaney (from Jane’s Addiction) will fill in. Matt Laug will be on the drums.
The tour kicks off on May 17 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and wraps up in Dublin, Ireland on August 17. The band will perform across several countries including Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Switzerland, England, Belgium, and France.
Noteworthy for Hungarian fans are the Vienna concerts on June 23 and 26 and the Bratislava concert on July 21, as these cities are relatively easy to reach with just a few hours of travel. The detailed tour schedule can be studied here.
The last AC/DC tour took place in 2016, featuring Axl Rose as the stand-in vocalist due to Brian
Johnson's absence caused by hearing issues. Since then, the band has only given one performance, which took place at a festival in California last fall.
