2Rule Sportswear Company Owned by Lőrinc Mészáros Closes Its Branches
The company owned by Lőrinc Mészáros, 2Rule, which deals in sportswear under the banner of Magyar Sportmárka Zrt.
has shut down both of its branches, according to Átlátszó. Additionally, the company's online store is currently not operational, with visitors to the site being greeted by a message stating that the website is temporarily unavailable.
Citing company records, Átlátszó adds that the headquarters of Magyar Sportmárka Zrt., which was located in Herceghalom, has recently been relocated to the Budapest-based Andrássy Avenue heart of the Mészáros empire. In response to inquiries, the communications department of the Mészáros group linked the closing of the office and showroom to the relocation of the headquarters. They further stated that:
"Our products are sold through sales managers, and retail sales are currently suspended. Our partners are primarily large corporations and sports clubs."
Last summer, the Pro Filii Foundation of the Mészáros Group donated approximately 70,000 2Rule products to needy youths, valued at a total of 200 million forints. When asked if the donations were related to the closing of the branches, the company provided an evasive answer.
