The Hungarian Football Federation (MLSZ) announced a postponement in the initiation of ticket sales on its website for the Hungarian national team's upcoming Euro preparation matches, after the website's ticketing interface crashed before sales even began.
The ticket sales were set to launch at 10 a.m. on Friday, and were intended to provide access for fans to the Hungarian national team's European Championship qualifying matches. Supporters who joined the newly revamped Supporter's Club (SZK) system on MLSZ's website were eligible to purchase tickets. However, shortly after 10 a.m., users clicking on the "Match Ticket" tab were greeted with an error message.
One reader of HVG.hu experienced an even stranger issue. After logging in successfully, they noticed that as they refreshed MLSZ's webpage, a completely different name appeared in place of their own in the top right corner of the screen (as shown in the attached image):
Our reader described their experience as follows: "I log onto the site as a registered user. I enter a subpage and see a 'MAINTENANCE' notice. I go back to the homepage, and my registered name is no longer displayed."
At precisely 10 a.m. on
Facebook, MLSZ reported that they had moved the start of ticket sales to 1 p.m. based on a notification from the Supporter's Club's service provider.
