The 11 Best Dressed Men at the Oscars

The 11 Best Dressed Men at the Oscars

This year’s leading men brought their A-game.

Hollywood’s leading men brought their A-game to the Oscars red carpet tonight. The best dressed among them upgraded their suits to have a cooler, more modern feel via bold colors and unconventional silhouettes. No boring tuxes here!

Leading the night, of course, was awards season breakout red carpet star Leslie Odom Jr., who dressed up like an Oscar at the Oscars. His gold Brioni suit is made of a jacquard fabric that has real 24-karat gold threaded into it (talk about luxe!). Colman Domingo matched that energy in a bright-pink Versace suit. It’s a tough color to pull off, but its streamlined shape and tasteful gold jewelry to go with it made it feel expensive.

The night’s more demure looks held their own, too. Daniel Kaluuya wore all-black suiting Bottega Veneta, complete with a luxe necklace by Cartier with pearl-sized diamonds. Lakeith Stanfield, in Saint Laurent, rebuked the suit entirely and wore ’70s inspired black jumpsuit with an oversized white collar-topped with groovy shades. Overall, this evening (and awards season in general) saw male stars play with traditional red carpet codes. And we’re so glad that they did.

Below, the 11 best dressed men at the Oscars the year.
