Shell Café is the new global brand of the Shell Group which is being introduced in selected European countries. Shell Café concept stores are now available at 129 Shell sites across the country.

The company conducted an extensive survey among more than 10,000 customers from five European countries, which showed that in many European countries, coffee is one of the main reasons why people stop at its service stations.

In view of changing trends in mobility, it has been shown that customers are likely to spend much more time at Shell stations in the future.

Across Hungary, the new concept stores are now available at 129 Shell stations. Depending on the size and location of the service station, different coffee sales formats will be available to customers – ranging from a fully-fledged café offering freshly ground coffee from a lever coffee machine through to coffee corners where customers can purchase freshly ground coffee to go.

Shell has teamed up with globally renowned experts in the preparation and roasting of coffee to create two own-brand blends of roasted coffee made from high-quality coffee beans: "Taste of South America" and "Taste of Africa" The coffee offered by Shell Café is “Rainforest certified".

Under the Shell Café brand, the company will also trial a new food range and other beverages in Hungary.
