The disappearance of Hungarian sisters Eliza and Henrietta Huszti in Aberdeen, Scotland, has prompted an extensive search operation, as reported by the BBC.

Last seen near Aberdeen’s Victoria Bridge in the pre-dawn hours, the 32-year-old twins have become the focus of an intensive search operation along the River Dee.

Scottish police, supported by dive teams, have been scouring sections of the icy River Dee, with efforts now extending further along the riverbank to locate the sisters.

Over the weekend, the search radius was expanded as hope for a swift resolution drives the tireless efforts by the authorities.

The family of the missing women has expressed gratitude for the ongoing work of local authorities while urging the public to avoid spreading false information.

Huszti József, the siblings’ brother, communicated on social media, acknowledging the support during these challenging times but emphasizing the absence of additional information beyond what has already been shared with the press.

"The authorities are doing everything they can," he noted, thanking the community for their continued support.

Eliza and Henrietta relocated to Scotland approximately seven years ago.

In recent interactions, their brother József disclosed to the BBC that the twins appeared well in the days leading up to their disappearance, with no apparent cause for concern.

The last communication with their mother took place last Saturday, while their other sibling, Edit, shared that her last conversation with the sisters occurred over New Year's, when they seemed cheerful and in good spirits.

However, Edit noted the unusual nature of them being outside during the early morning hours.
