KYIV: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday welcomed the International Criminal Court's (ICC) decision to issue arrest warrants for Russia’s chief of the general staff, Valery Gerasimov, and former defense minister Sergei Shoigu.
The warrants, issued over alleged war crimes related to strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure, mark the latest actions by the ICC concerning the Ukraine war.
This follows a previous warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin.
