About three-quarters of rubbish picked up last year was mixed, 9% was green waste, 8% packaging waste, 4% furniture and demolition waste, and 1% glass.

MEKH noted that rubbish volume edged up from 3,242,000 tonnes in 2019, after climbing from 3,011,000 tonnes in 2018.
