First look at the bold new design amid online leaks
Jaguar has revealed its highly anticipated electric concept car, the Type 00, during Miami Art Week.
The unveiling followed a leak of images online earlier in the day.
The Type 00 is introduced in two vibrant colors: Miami pink and London blue, reflecting both the city's vibrancy and Jaguar's British heritage.
The concept features an array of innovative design elements, including laser-etched logos and rear-view cameras in place of a traditional rear windscreen.
Notably, the vehicle offers a wraparound windshield design, likened to a racing helmet by Autocar.
Jaguar, undergoing a complete rebrand, plans to release the production version of the Type 00 in 2025 in the UK, with prices expected to exceed £100,000.
Following a strategic pause in sales to focus on rebranding, the British automaker aims to launch three new electric vehicles in 2026.
This move comes amid Jaguar’s transition from diesel models and its commitment to electrifying its lineup, backed by an £18 billion investment by its parent company, Tata.
The launch also sparked discussions around Jaguar's advertising strategy, which deviates from traditional car ads, using the tagline “copy nothing” and featuring diverse representations.
CEO Adrian Mardell emphasized Jaguar's luxury heritage and its aim to appeal to a new generation as it shifts towards an all-electric future.
