Hungary Commits to Enhancing Investment and Trade with Cambodia
Deepening Economic Ties Highlighted During Diplomatic Talks in Phnom Penh
Hungary has pledged to intensify its investment and trade relations with Cambodia, as stated by Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Cambodia, during his recent meeting with Huot Hak, Cambodia's Minister of Inspection. The meeting, aimed at reinforcing bilateral ties, underscored Hungary's commitment to boosting economic cooperation and fostering deeper connections between the two nations.
Ambassador Baloghdi emphasized that promoting economic cooperation, investment, and bilateral trade remains a high priority for his mission in Cambodia. He highlighted Hungary's dedication to enhancing these areas as a means to strengthen the relationship further.
Minister Huot Hak appreciated the ambassador's commitment and briefed him on Cambodia’s current political and socioeconomic climate. He expressed Cambodia's eagerness to attract more foreign direct investment and its open doors for deeper economic partnerships.
The meeting also served as a platform to acknowledge and appreciate the longstanding diplomatic relations between Hungary and Cambodia, established since 1956. Minister Hak specifically thanked Hungary for its significant contributions to Cambodia's development, notably in sectors such as education, trade, and tourism, which have been vital for the country’s growth.
