The renowned television professional recently became the chairman of the wealthy businessman György Gattyán's media empire, reports Blikk.
As the chairman of the Fresh News Media Group, the 74-year-old "Teacher" is currently working with 5 colleagues in the newsroom. According to information from the tabloid, the new chairman's task will be to increase the readership of the frisshirek.hu online portal and the viewer numbers of its associated YouTube channel. In addition, Havas has been tasked with setting up an independent editorial team of investigative journalists to process cases of suspected corruption involving political and economic interests. This project is also backed by billionaire György Gattyán, whose wealth Forbes estimates at 405 billion forints.
"I don't know what simple retirement life is like, because I always have some engagement, but now I have the time, and this task interests me too," Havas explained his involvement.
