Growing Concern: Duchess Catherine and Prince William Increasingly Worried
Duchess Catherine and Prince William are expressing increasing concern for King Charles III who revealed earlier this year that he is battling cancer.
As previously known, the British monarch was admitted to the hospital at the beginning of the year for treatment of an enlarged prostate. It was during this time that the cancer diagnosis was made, although it is not prostate cancer. The specific type of cancer has not been disclosed to the public.
Since his diagnosis, the King has been receiving a constant flow of supportive messages and postcards, often moving him to tears. Following the disclosure of his diagnosis, he visited the Vatopedi Monastery on Mount Athos in Greece, a place where he often prays, meditates, and undergoes various ancient rituals.
Despite his participation in the Easter service, the Duke and Duchess of Wales are terribly worried, a sentiment confirmed by the author of the biography of the late Princess Diana.
William and Catherine are dreadfully afraid that due to King Charles's cancer diagnosis, they might be thrust into the roles of King and Queen sooner than expected, a responsibility that weighs heavily on them.
The 75-year-old monarch is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatment, coinciding with the Duchess's own battle with cancer. Duchess Catherine announced in a video on March 22 that she has been diagnosed with cancer and is focusing on her recovery, as reported by The Independent.
