"We are living in a truly thrilling era in which the digital world is developing at an unprecedented pace, and the rate at which artificial intelligence (AI) is progressing is indicative of humanity's step change. The truth is that it's not AI that will take our jobs and our children's jobs, but rather those who understand AI," stated billionaire businessman and angel investor Peter Balogh at an event celebrating the tenth anniversary of Logiscool. Initially hesitant, one of the standing investors on the business reality show 'Sharks Among Us' aired on RTL decided in 2017 to invest in the experiential programming and digital literacy education project, which, within a year, became an international school network based on franchises. The Logiscool curriculum, founded in Budaörs by Anita Breuer and Gyula Csitári, is now being taught in over 200 institutions across 30 countries to at least 210,000 students.
TEACHING CHILDREN HOW TO USE ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE
"Children everywhere, from Singapore to South Africa and Mexico, respond to our materials in the same way: they simply do not like to end the classes," noted Anita Breuer. Gyula Csitári added that every platform used in their program is their own development. He highlighted that the strong international interest in their solutions is not a coincidence, as their own curriculum, community portal, and educational platform have globally proven their worth.
Peter Balogh believes that programming involves a simple mindset: the ability to break down goals into smaller steps to solve complex problems. Those who learn this skill set will become much more successful adults and will be able to achieve many more of their plans, he indicated.
Logiscool offers:
* Various levels of programming courses,
* Digital creation, and
* Video production.
Their instructors focus on developing problem-solving skills, strengthening logical and algorithmic thinking, and enhancing creativity.
"We must respond to the world's changes and the rise of artificial intelligence. For years, we've been teaching how AI works. Now we are also teaching how to use it, even to the very young," stressed Csitári.
LOGISCOOL GRABS ATTENTION OF BRITISH ELITE EDUCATION
The popularity of Logiscool is well illustrated by the agreement with EtonX, the innovative division of the prestigious British Eton College. As part of the cooperation, they have developed a course that offers the opportunity to teach coding and artificial intelligence to children and youths aged 12 and above.
Eton alumni include Princes William and Harry, the sons of King Charles III, and their uncle, Charles Spencer, the brother of the late Princess Diana. Former prime ministers who studied there include Robert Walpole, William Gladstone, Harold Macmillan, Anthony Eden, Alec Douglas Home, David Cameron, and
Boris Johnson.
Currently, the British elite institution educates 1,350 boys aged between 13 and 18. In the academic year 2021-2022, 20 percent of the students received financial aid, and a hundred paid no fees at all. For the academic year 2022-2023, they have allocated £9.4 million for financial support, allowing 107 students to receive education free of charge. Each of the three semesters of the academic year costs £16,666 (approximately 7.49 million HUF), with additional registration and enrollment fees also applicable.
