EU Migration Pact Faces Scrutiny Amidst Allegations of Hidden Intentions

EU Migration Pact Faces Scrutiny Amidst Allegations of Hidden Intentions

Polish professor claims EU's immigration policies aim to redistribute migrants to Central Europe, igniting debates on legality and integration.
A recent discussion hosted by Wnet Radio featured Tomasz Grosse, a Polish professor, who raised concerns regarding the European Union's (EU) approach to handling the ongoing migration crisis.

According to reports from Do Rzeczy, Grosse asserted that the EU's recent migration pact appears to be designed to redirect illegal migrants to Central European nations, including Poland, rather than resolve the issue at its roots.

Grosse expressed that the so-called Brussels elite has never sincerely intended to address the migration crisis.

He noted that the left-leaning leadership within the EU has been capable of implementing straightforward decisions to curb the influx of immigrants to the continent but has chosen not to do so.

He further emphasized a prevailing belief among what he describes as a liberal elite that a greater number of migrants is beneficial for the labor market in the EU, despite concerns regarding public safety and employment.

The conversation highlighted a plan to construct "integration centres" financed by taxpayers, as a measure set to accommodate the anticipated increase in migrants due to the new EU migration pact.

The authorities assert that these centres will not serve as accommodation for migrants but will function as informational and service hubs offering language courses and psychological support for children.

The opposition, however, warns that this initiative signals preparations for a significant influx of non-European migrants into Poland.

Grosse indicated a projection of tens of thousands of migrants expected annually to arrive in Poland under the conditions of the migration pact, which allows the European Commission to possibly escalate these quotas amid ongoing crises within Europe.

He noted an important aspect of the pact concerning the facilitation of deportation processes while highlighting the overarching strategy of redistributing migrants originating from Africa and the Middle East, not only to Western European nations but also to those Central European member states that previously maintained strict border controls.

Countries such as Hungary have been pointed out as primary targets for the redistribution strategy outlined in the pact.

Additionally, the pact stipulates that if a member state refuses to admit migrants, that country’s taxpayers would be liable to pay €20,000 for each migrant denied entry.

This provision has raised further concerns and discussions about the implications of the EU's migration strategy on national sovereignty and public finances.
