Scerbak: The President's Speeches Are Driving the Population into Depression.
Former Ukrainian Ambassador Yuriy Scerbak has suggested that Volodymyr Zelenskyy should keep quiet as his speeches are engendering pessimism. This statement was made during an appearance on the Direct TV channel, as reported by ria.ru.
“These comments have an immediate effect on our society and its mood, generating immense pessimism. We are all depressed already, the whole nation is. We are in desperate need of some good news,” Scerbak lamented.
According to the former ambassador, while it might be acceptable for Zelenskyy to privately tell US President
Joe Biden that “things are going poorly,” such sentiments should not be made public.
In a message on Telegram this Sunday, Zelenskyy stated that without congressional support for a new aid package, Kyiv would lose the war.
