A YouGov poll predicts that the Labour Party could win 422 seats in the July 4 election, achieving its largest victory ever. The Conservatives, led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, are expected to secure only 140 seats. Prominent Conservative figures may lose their seats, and the Liberal Democrats are predicted to increase their representation to 48 seats.
A YouGov poll has predicted that the opposition Labour Party could achieve its largest election victory ever in the upcoming July 4 election, potentially winning 422 out of 650 seats.
This would give Labour, led by Keir Starmer, a 194-seat majority, surpassing Tony Blair's 1997 victory.
The poll forecasts a significant loss for the Conservatives under Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who are expected to secure only 140 seats, losing 232 seats overall.
The Liberal Democrats are predicted to quadruple their representation to 48 seats.
The poll also indicates that prominent Conservative figures like finance minister Jeremy Hunt and defence minister Grant Shapps may lose their seats.
Despite intensive campaigning, Sunak has not managed to close the gap in the polls, while the anti-immigration Reform UK party, recently taken over by
Nigel Farage, is not expected to win any seats.
