The Győzike Show Returns to Television After 14 Years

The reality comedy series "The Győzike Show," featuring Győző Gáspár and his family's daily life, is making its comeback on television screens.
This time, the programme will be broadcast by TV2. The showman had mentioned to Index in 2022 that he no longer wished to be Győzike.

Fourteen years have elapsed since "The Győzike Show" last graced television screens. Unlike its previous run on RTL, this revival will be available for viewers on TV2, as reported by Blikk.

TV2 confirmed the news, stating, "TV2 is preparing for the autumn season with a very diverse lineup of programmes. Reality shows are a key component of this offering, and viewers can expect to see several in this genre, including a new season of 'Asia Express,' 'Chef's Chef,' and 'Rich Kids.' After twenty years, 'Temptation' returns, and indeed, the rumours are true - the Gáspár family are making their way back to the screen in a thoroughly entertaining reality show."

According to a source for Blikk, the show is scheduled to be filmed this summer and will be aired daily over several weeks in the autumn. It was added that Győző Gáspár and his wife, Bea, have already signed contracts with the channel. However, it is yet to be revealed whether their daughters, Evelin and Virág, will appear in the series.

"The Győzike Show" first premiered on February 7, 2005, on RTL Klub. Initially, only eight episodes were ordered, but the show significantly exceeded viewership expectations, resulting in a total of 102 episodes. Its highest viewership was recorded on April 11, 2005, attracting 2,267,192 viewers eager to follow the day-to-day life of Győzike and his family. The show concluded in 2010, having brought nationwide fame to the entire family.

In a 2022 interview with Index, Győző Gáspár expressed his desire to no longer be Győzike and to show a completely different side of himself to the entire country. Alongside his surprising goals, he also discussed the pretentious side of tabloid media with the publication.
