Storm Warnings Issued for Four Counties with Possible Hail Predicted

Wednesday's Forecast: Much of Hungary will be enveloped in clouds, with sunny periods expected only along the Danube region. Widespread rain, occasional showers, and potential thunderstorms, accompanied by small-sized hail, could develop – according to the forecast by Időkép. Today, except for the eastern and northeastern parts, a lively and strong north-northwesterly wind will prevail. Following an overnight calm in windier areas, patchy fog may form, with early morning temperatures ranging from 0 to 7 degrees Celsius, and afternoon temperatures hitting between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius.
On Wednesday, the HungaroMet website issued a first-degree warning for thunderstorms in Pest, Nógrád, Vas, and Zala counties. From the afternoon hours near the western border, and by late afternoon mainly east of the Danube, intensified showers might bring thunder. The developing showers and thunderstorms could be accompanied by hail, intense rainfall, and strengthening winds in several places.
Thursday's Outlook: Sunny with cumulus clouds, expect widespread showers throughout the day. Thunder could rumble in some areas, and showers may bring small-sized hail. Persistent rain is also possible in the Tiszántúl region. A brisk and strong northerly wind is likely. Temperatures will range from a low of 1 to 7 degrees Celsius to highs between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius.
Friday's Forecast: The majority of the country can anticipate a lot of sunshine with occasional cumulus clouds. However, more clouds are expected in the northwest and west during the latter half of the afternoon. Isolated showers could develop in places. Lively, occasionally strong, northerly winds are to be expected. The early hours could see light frost in sensitive areas, with daytime warming to between 12 and 17 degrees Celsius.
The weekend will offer a mix of sunnier and cloudier periods, with the chance of light rain or fleeting showers here and there; thunderstorms cannot be ruled out. On Saturday, the wind will be lively across much of the country, but on Sunday, it will strengthen, potentially reaching storm levels in some areas. The weekend's temperatures will range from 13 to 19 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 10 to 18 degrees on Sunday.
