In a truly awe-inspiring move, Hillary Clinton has now floated the idea of jailing Americans for posting what she personally deems “misinformation.” Her reasoning? "There needs to be deterrence." Because clearly, the path to a healthier democracy involves locking up those who express views that don’t align with hers.

We’ve already taken great strides. We’ve copied their cameras, setting up surveillance everywhere. We tap phones and monitor all communications of citizens. We censor foreign media and ban voices we disagree with from social media platforms. And now, we’re seriously suggesting jailing people for simply holding and expressing a different opinion.
What’s left? What haven’t we managed to copy yet from those regimes we once denounced?
After all, nothing says "freedom" like suppressing it.
