Appointment of New Ministerial Commissioner for Hungarian Participation in Global Exhibitions

Kristó Ákos designated to facilitate Hungary's involvement in the 2027 Belgrade Expo.
The Official Gazette has published an order from the Minister of National Economy regarding the appointment of Kristó Ákos as the ministerial commissioner responsible for promoting Hungary’s representation at the 2027 Belgrade Expo and related diplomatic tasks.

Effective June 1, Kristó Ákos will oversee the diplomatic efforts associated with Hungary’s presence at the World Expo, supporting and monitoring the work of the task force focused on this initiative.

His responsibilities include collaboration with the Hungarian Tourism Agency on the establishment of the exhibition pavilion and ensuring domestic coordination of Hungary’s participation at world exhibitions under the purview of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE).

Additionally, he is tasked with providing regular updates to the Minister of National Economy and preparing semi-annual written reports on his activities.

The appointment is overseen by Minister Nagy Márton.

Kristó Ákos will not receive a salary or benefits for this role, likely due to his concurrent responsibilities as the ministerial commissioner for Hungary's representation at the Osaka World Expo, which qualifies him for remuneration equivalent to the position of deputy state secretary along with benefits defined by governmental regulations.

This new role aligns Kristó Ákos under Nagy Márton, following Rogán Antal's tenure.

Additionally, the Official Gazette announced the appointment of L. Simon László, who will assist Balázs Hankó in relocating the Hungarian Agricultural Museum from Vajdahunyadvár in City Park to Gödöllő.

This position also comes with a deputy state secretary's salary and a two-person secretariat.
