Jákob Zoltán highlights ongoing fraud attempts using his identity on social media platforms.
Jákob Zoltán, a high-profile entrepreneur, has recently filed a report with the police regarding fraudulent activities being conducted in his name.
In a video posted on social media, Jákob detailed the innovative tactics employed by scammers to extort money from victims using
Facebook and Messenger applications.
In his account, he noted that counterfeit identification documents bearing his name have been created and circulated to convince targets of the veracity of these scams.
Victims are reportedly being promised cash prizes and vehicles as part of the fraudulent schemes.
However, to claim these supposed awards, individuals are being asked to obtain an 'exclusive gold card' for 80,000 Hungarian Forints, which they are instructed to transfer to specific bank accounts.
Jákob explained that this approach differs from traditional scam methods, as it does not request credit card information but directly solicits bank transfers.
He indicated that he uncovered nearly one hundred fake profiles operating under his name, managing to collect three bank account numbers associated with these frauds which may assist the police in their investigation.
In his appeal to the public, Jákob urged individuals not to fall victim to such scams, regardless of the apparent authenticity provided by the usage of his name or image.
He emphasized that he does not utilize Messenger and advised against sending money or sharing personal bank card details with anyone claiming to contact them in his name.
He urged people to remain vigilant and protective of their personal information and finances.
