State Supports Renovation of Burnt Visegrád Hotel with 60 Million Forints
The restoration of the Silvanus Hotel in Visegrád, which was destroyed by fire in early March, is deemed crucial for the entire region, according to the tourism agency.
The Hungarian Tourism Agency (MTÜ), a government organization wholly owned by the state and dedicated to the tourism sector, is providing 60 million forints to support the renovation of the Visegrád Silvanus Hotel. The four-star hotel suffered significant fire damage in early March, affecting its top floor and roof structure.
The MTÜ reported the funding, stating, "The hotel's swift reopening is key for the region, not only because of the ripple effect of economic impacts but also because it accounts for 46 percent of the local accommodation traffic in Visegrád."
The reconstruction efforts are expected to be completed by fall.
