Scandal: Meghan Markle Faces Disappointment as Public Laughs
Meghan Markle, a few weeks ago, announced plans, alongside her husband Prince Harry, to produce two additional series on Netflix.
However, she has now embarked on a new business venture.
It is known that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, after their initial deal with Netflix in 2020, have once again signed with the streaming service to plan the production of two shows through their joint company, Archewell Productions.
In the first series, Meghan Markle would showcase her favorite leisure activities: cooking and gardening, allowing the audience to get to know her better. The other series will focus on Prince Harry's favorite sport, polo, featuring the US Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. Known for its aesthetic and social scene, the series will display their enthusiasm and passion for the sport.
However, the Duchess of Sussex has also planned another business venture: selling strawberry jam under the brand name American Riviera Orchard.
Markle ensured the product was uniquely designed, with each bottle being hand-numbered. She sent samples of the strawberry jam to several influential influencers, including fashion designer Tracy Robbins and businesswoman Delfina Balquier. However, the product did not become as popular as Prince Harry's wife had hoped.
Since Meghan Markle is among those the public opinion strongly dislikes, people prefer to purchase products from Highgrove Shop, where King Charles sells his own jams and chutneys, for approximately £7, reports Bors.
"The Duchess of Sussex has made great business for King Charles. People dislike Meghan so much that they rather buy the King's products. This is also how they express their support for the royal family. While the proceeds from King Charles’s products go to charity, Meghan spends the money on herself," stated expert Richard Eden.
