Recent revelations have shown that the relationship between Prince William and Prince Harry has been far from perfect, marred by tension and discord. However, upon hearing the news of his sister-in-law Meghan Markle's pregnancy, there seemed to be a thaw in the relationship between the two royal brothers.
It has been no secret that the relationship between the sons of King Charles,
Prince William and Prince Harry, has been strained. Harry, in his newly released memoir, revisited an instance when, during a heated argument, his brother pushed him against a wall and provoked him. When Harry refrained from hitting back, William apologized and pleaded with him not to tell his wife, Meghan.
Instead of following his brother's request, Prince Harry sought help from his therapist to process the altercation.
The chill in the air still persists between the brothers to this day, but there have been moments when they have shared joy. The Mirror recalls an incident during their cousin's wedding where
Prince William learned that his sister-in-law was pregnant, news which they happily celebrated at the time. In his book "Spare," Harry recounts the events of 2018:
"After the reception in St George's Hall, Meg and I pulled Willy aside in a large room adorned with suits of armor - an odd room for such an odd moment. We whispered the news, and Willy responded with a smile, insisting we tell Kate. She was on the other side of the room, chatting with Pippa. I suggested we could wait, but he insisted. We went over and told Kate, who also congratulated us warmly with a broad smile. Their reaction was exactly as I had hoped."
The relationship between the British royal family and Harry's family reportedly remains complicated, raising questions as to whether they would spend Christmas together again in 2023.
