Primark Announces Opening Date for Its First Hungarian Store
The official date has been announced: at the end of May, international fashion retail chain Primark will open its first store in Budapest.
According to the chain's announcement on Wednesday, Primark's inaugural Hungarian store will open its doors at 10 a.m. on May 28th in Budapest's Arena Mall.
Spanning more than 3,100 square meters, the store will offer a range of apparel for women, men, and children, as well as home decor items and beauty products.
The opening of Primark is set to create approximately 180 jobs in the country, reports VILÁGGAZDASÁG. The paper also reminds readers that recruitment for the Budapest store has been ongoing for some time, with positions still being advertised; fluency in English was a prerequisite for the advertised roles.
As we previously reported, the arrival of the globally recognized fashion retailer has been eagerly anticipated in Hungary. Primark is known for offering clothing products at prices significantly lower than those of existing fast fashion stores in the country.
Primark made the decision to enter the Hungarian market following its successful operation of 12 stores in Slovenia, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, and Slovakia.
