Peter Magyar: Prepare for Brutal Austerity Measures - 5 Points Addressed to Gergely Gulyás

Peter Magyar promises that one of the new government's first actions will be to open the archives of secret agents.
After nearly two months, a government press briefing is being held today for the first time again. The last briefing took place on February 16, six days after the outbreak of a mercy scandal, where Gergely Gulyás reported among other things that Peter Magyar had previously informed him via SMS about his readiness to take a stance against the National Cooperation System (NER), but there was no internal tension within Fidesz because of this.

Subsequently, at the end of February, the Minister in charge of the Prime Minister's Office underwent spinal surgery and returned to work only at the beginning of April.

In addition to Gulyás Gergely, the new government spokesperson, Eszter Vitályos, replacing Alexandra Szentkirályi who is running for the mayoralty, as well as Mihály Varga, the Minister of Finance, and István Nagy, the Minister of Agriculture, will also be present at today's government info session.

Peter Magyar, who has already chosen a party for the EP election, is also "preparing" for the resuming government info. The politician and lawyer, who sharply criticizes the NER and the government, posted a so-called "guide" consisting of 5 points addressed to Gergely Gulyás on his Facebook page Thursday morning, which we publish in full:

1.) Please, do not lie; at least you shouldn't. I am not a warmonger. I find it important that Hungary and the whole of Europe should remain out of the war. I do not support the transportation of weapons through Hungary. It's crucial that the superpowers should sit down at the negotiating table as soon as possible to end the bloodshed that has been going on for two years. I am genuinely concerned for the Hungarian community in Carpathia and support all diplomatic efforts that help in preserving their lives or in reclaiming their minority rights. But let's say it again, the aggressor is Russia, they are the attacking side. The war was initiated by Putin, and he can end it.

2.) Please, do not lie; at least you shouldn't. I am not and will not be leftist. Not as if being conservative, leftist, liberal, or right-wing is an insult in a civil democracy. You know where I come from, you know why I fought alongside you 20 years ago. I have remained the same person. If I am left-wing, then compared to me, Viktor Orbán is a pure socialist and a state capitalist at the same time. Just look at the fourteen years of his governance.

3.) Please, do not lie; at least you shouldn't. I consider the fight against illegal migration and the establishment of a strict EU migration policy important.

4.) We all know that while you are spending billions on vile, deceitful propaganda to discredit me, the country is hurtling towards bankruptcy. In the first quarter, we have reached the annual budget deficit target. Tell the Hungarian people what brutal austerity measures you are preparing for after the June elections. And no, nobody believes you when you say that Viktor Orbán's government does not know the word austerity. We have all lived in this country for the past two years.

5.) And a bonus. One of the new government’s first measures will be to open the archives of the secret agents. The political elite has owed this step for 34 years, not without reason. Not without reason, because it has so far been concealed how and by whom the country was first plundered around 1990 and how the narrow power and economic elite, which has been ruling the country since then, was formed. At times, already for the new generation.

P.S.: Please do not through your party delegates prevent the National Election Commission from registering the Honor and Freedom (TISZA) Party for the June 9 elections today at 4:30 PM. Do not stoop to the level of Russia.
