No abnormalities were found in the worker who was splashed with a substance at the battery factory in Komárom
However, as a precaution, authorities evacuated the facility.
Following a thorough site investigation conducted by the competent authorities, it was confirmed that air quality measurements showed no abnormalities, and work could resume after the inspection, announced SK Battery in a statement sent to our paper.
The company responded after reports, as covered by us via Telex, that several workers felt unwell at the company's battery factory located in Komárom.
Regarding the incident, the company stated that on April 23, at 10 a.m., during the assembly process at the Komárom plant, a small amount of material splashed onto one of the employees who was working on the pipes. At the time, the worker was wearing a full face mask, but the substance made minimal contact with the neck area.
The affected employee immediately went to the medical room for examination, where everything was found to be in order. Following the company's policy of recommending thorough investigation, however, the employee was transported to the hospital for further examinations. The hospital examination also did not confirm any abnormalities, allowing the employee to return home the same day. The incident was reported to the authorities, who immediately conducted an on-site inspection and evacuated all employees to an off-site area.
