New Details Emerge from Operation Against Russian Network: Woman from Belarus Turned Away at Ferenc Liszt International Airport
In a recent reveal by the Czech secret service, it has been discovered that a key player in a Russian network accused of influencing European politicians, Oleg Volosin's wife, was slated to attend a conference last year organized by the "Our Homeland" party in the parliament for European far-right parties.
However, upon her arrival in Budapest, she was turned away by authorities and spent the night in detention. According to hvg360, the host living in Belarus suspected American scheming behind this decision, proclaiming that the Hungarian authorities fear her more than George Soros, as she had plans to shoot a documentary about him during her stay.
Nadja Szasz, a well-known pro-Russian television journalist from Belarus, intended to film a documentary about George Soros, the Budapest-born founder of the Open Society Foundations, and to participate in a conference organized by "Our Homeland" in August last year. Upon her arrival at the Liszt Ferenc International Airport, she was stopped by the authorities who checked and searched her. She spent the night in airport detention before being deported from Hungary the following day.
As per reports from hvg360, Nadja Szasz was denied entry into Hungary because her information was listed in the Schengen Information System (SIS) database. The SIS is Europe's largest security and border management information system, designed to address security risks stemming from the abolition of internal borders and the tightening of external borders. The system facilitates the exchange of information among member states, allowing law enforcement, border control agencies, and EU agencies, including secret services, to share information and thus enhance the security of the EU.
