Man Takes a Hundred Sleeping Pills and Goes for a Drive After Argument with Wife
In a shocking incident last fall near Kapuvár, a man ingested around a hundred sleeping pills before getting behind the wheel, subsequently crashing into several signposts and parked cars.
The Győr District Prosecutor's Office has charged the husband with driving under the influence, leading to a potential court case.
According to information provided by the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Chief Prosecutor's Office, the incident began after the man had an argument with his wife. Following the dispute, he took the pills and decided to drive his car from Hövej in the direction of Kapuvár at night.
The effects of the sleeping pills severely impaired his ability to control the vehicle. As a result, he collided with two signposts and then two parked cars, eventually stopping across the road surface in Kapuvár. The man now faces up to two years in prison for his actions.
