Lupa Beach Opens for the Season, Offering Diverse Activities and Family-Friendly Features

The largest natural swimming beach in Hungary opens its doors for the 10th time, introducing a variety of programs and attractions for visitors.
Lupa Beach, the largest natural swimming beach in Hungary, has announced its opening weekend commencing on June 6, 2023, following a delay caused by adverse weather conditions.

This marks the beach's 10th season opening.

Gergely Hamza, the communications director of Lupa, stated that while they initially aimed for a late May opening, worsening weather conditions prompted them to push the date back to avoid disruption on the opening weekend.

To enhance visitor engagement, Lupa Beach will host a variety of free activities during its inaugural weekend.

On June 5, 2023, visitors will be welcomed to a musical soirée featuring Falusi Mariann at the Rosé Los Tiki Bar.

The beach's free opening weekend will begin on Friday and will feature daytime parties alongside children's activities to prepare attendees for the upcoming summer season.

The scheduled events for the weekend include:
- A DJ set by Infragandhi at MyCar Beach on Saturday.

- A performance by Bia Bréda at the Lupacabana venue on Sunday, followed by a DJ set by Zsolt Német, offering Smooth Jazz guitar music at the Divino area on Pentecost Monday.

Lupa Beach has also announced two significant thematic summer events—Mamma Mia Beach Party as part of the Night of Beaches and a Shake It on the Beach party scheduled for late August.

The beach continues to prioritize family engagement, providing special attention to families with children.

The 2023 season will introduce a new initiative where each children's ticket will come with two coupons for thematic children's activities, allowing parents the opportunity to enjoy the facilities while their children participate in supervised events.

Additionally, Lupa Beach has also planned Lupa Kids camps for post-school engagement, hosting children in a day-care style setup on weekdays throughout the summer.

Known as a hub for water sports, Lupa Beach boasts professional beach sports facilities and hosts Central Europe's largest wakeboard center.

The venue offers popular attractions such as water banana rides, tubing, and an aqua slider for thrilling experiences on the lake.

Visitors can also rent stand-up paddleboards (SUPs), participate in sailing lessons, enjoy eSurfing, or engage in beach volleyball.

In an effort to enhance accessibility for beachgoers, plans have been laid to introduce electric transfer buses from the nearby HÉV stations in Békásmegyer and Budakalász by 2025. Additionally, Lupa Beach is accessible by bicycle via a nearby bike path, with secure bicycle storage available at BLOCK Bike Racks by the entrance.

The location offers a quieter escape while remaining easily reachable from the city, situated at the gateway to the Danube Bend.
