FACEBOOK POST from the From Streets to Homes Association, they swiftly exceeded the 25 million forint target announced at Heroes' Square on Friday night.
The post indicates that by Sunday noon, contributions had already reached over 141 million forints, with donation possible until midnight. The funds will be used by the non-profit organization to secure housing for young adults who have left institutional care.
The From Streets to Homes Association expressed gratitude to all supporters and to the organizers of the Monsters Walk Outside Now, Standing with the Victims demonstration for the advertising which, without a doubt, contributed significantly to the successful fundraising.
On Friday, at the conclusion of the protest, Márton Gulyás announced that the From Streets to Homes Association aims to raise 25 million forints for a currently homeless, abused child, to provide the help that the state has failed to offer.
