The Hungarian currency has strengthened against the major currencies but weakened against the euro.
Difficult weeks lie ahead for the forint.
The forint strengthened against the major currencies Thursday morning in the international interbank foreign exchange market, compared to the early evening quotations on Wednesday.
At seven o'clock, the euro exchange rate weakened to 393.86 forints from Wednesday's early evening 394.02 forints. The Swiss franc's quotation decreased to 402.16 forints from 403.30 forints, and the dollar's fell to 367.77 forints from 368.69 forints.
The euro rose from 1.0686 dollars in the early evening to 1.0710 dollars.
GLOOMY OUTLOOK FOR THE FORINT - STRUGGLING MORE UNDER THE SHADOW OF THE DOLLAR
The forint is receiving increasingly bad news from the significant international central banks, including the Eurozone's ECB and the American Federal Reserve. The expectations related to interest rate paths have been flipped upside down in recent months, which is far from beneficial for the local currency, it would be difficult to imagine a more unfavorable scenario for the Hungarian money.
