Opulent Cruise Provides a Political Escapade, Visiting 140 Nations Across All Seven Continents
Villa Vie Residence, a U.S. cruise company, is offering an exclusive journey of up to four years for those wishing to "escape from politics" and explore the world while
Donald Trump's presidency concludes. As reported by Business Insider, this luxury cruise will visit 140 countries across seven continents. The all-inclusive cruise is priced at $255,999 per room, with double-occupancy cabins starting at $319,998.
The company additionally provides a "Midterm Election" package, a two-year cruise costing $150,399 for a single traveler or $187,998 for a couple. Guests also have options for one- or three-year voyages aboard the Odyssey, which sails continuously. The ship features spa amenities and fitness programs, with tickets including meals and complimentary beer and wine during lunch and dinner.
Business Insider noted that before the 2020 election, many Americans considered leaving the country if Trump was re-elected, and after the election results, online searches for "moving to Canada" increased. Although the Odyssey cruise doesn't offer genuine citizenship or immigration, it allows passengers to "escape the traffic, politics, and urban routine."
The Odyssey's inaugural voyage started in September after a four-month delay in Belfast, Ireland. It was reported that two passengers who persistently complained about the delays were removed from the ship and had their contracts terminated.
Interestingly, while escaping, passengers will be supporting
Elon Musk’s Starlink, with internet access available on the ship. They’ll be avoiding politics while ironically funding the tech billionaire who played a role in Trump's prominence.
Nonetheless, having these individuals far from home? It’s evidence that a Trump victory indeed contributes to making America great again.
