In a cowardly act, the office window of the Fidesz party in Józsefváros was broken.
The Fidesz district branch in Józsefváros attributes the attack to leftist hate politics and aggressive extremist organizations that constantly threaten right-wing individuals, according to a post they made on
Facebook.
In their statement, the Józsefváros Fidesz group references several incidents of violence and aggression they attribute to leftist figures and groups. They claim individuals affiliated with András Jámbor's Spark Movement ("Szikra Mozgalom") referred to as antifas have beaten innocent passersby to a near-death state, while a representative of the Momentum party from Józsefváros threatened them with a lamp post and attacked police officers, leading to their conviction and a two-year sentence. They also accuse a colleague of András Pikó of calling mothers with three children prostitutes, and a socialist representative is said to have made vulgar threats to an elderly member of their party. These examples are presented as indicative of the local left's character.
Furthermore, the Fidesz group in Józsefváros condemn what they see as continuous incitement by András Pikó and András Jámbor's extreme leftist 'antifa' groups against right-wing communities. They claim these groups aim to intimidate them from speaking out about how, according to them, the election is being manipulated by foreign interests, foreign funding, and foreign voters. Despite the intimidation, the Fidesz group in Józsefváros pledges not to be silenced, stating, "We are not afraid, because for us, Józsefváros comes first," as they concluded their post.
