The statement expressed profound grief: 'With broken hearts, we announce that our beloved father, Brian Wilson, has passed away.

We are at a loss for words.

We know that our loss is shared with the world.

With love and respect.'

Brian Wilson was born on June 20, 1942, in Inglewood, California, as the eldest of three brothers.

His siblings, Dennis and Carl Wilson, were born in 1944 and 1946, respectively.

He displayed musical talent from a young age, noted for his exceptional pitch and melodic abilities.

At the age of 19, Wilson, alongside his brothers and their cousin Mike Love, as well as friend Al Jardine, formed the Beach Boys, initially under the name Pendletones.

He co-wrote the band's first single, 'Surfin',' which marked the beginning of their rise in the music industry.

By 1962, they released their debut studio album, 'Surfin' Safari.' The success of their second album, 'Surfin' U.S.A.,' and two other albums released in 1963, contributed to the emergence of the 'California sound,' making it synonymous with the Beach Boys.

Wilson played a critical role in the band's evolution, helping them transition from surf and beach culture to more mature musical themes.

This shift culminated in landmark works such as the 1966 album 'Pet Sounds,' the unreleased 'Smile' in 1967, and the hit single 'Good Vibrations.' These projects solidified Wilson and the Beach Boys' place in rock and roll history, with 'Pet Sounds' recognized as one of the most influential albums of all time.

Throughout his career, Wilson's innovative compositions and production techniques had a lasting impact on the music industry, influencing countless artists and genres.

His contributions continue to resonate, marking him as a pivotal figure in the evolution of modern music.
