Ukrainian Intelligence Reveals Possible Cause of Navalny's Death
Russian opposition activist and politician Alexei Navalny passed away from natural causes due to a thrombosis, according to the Ukrainian military intelligence chief Kyrylo Budanov.
The announcement came during a forum in Kyiv marking the second anniversary of the start of Russia's war against Ukraine, as reported by the Ukrainian television channel Hromadske.
Budanov stated, "I may disappoint some, but it seems that indeed a blood clot was the cause of death. This is more or less confirmed information, and it does not come from the internet," speaking to journalists at the event.
The head of the Chief Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine cautioned against believing that Russia's regime would naturally falter on its own. "Without our help, such a notion would be unrealistic," he asserted unequivocally.
"The stable regime in Russia is a threat to Ukraine and the world; therefore, Ukraine will continue to carry out military operations on the territory of the Russian Federation. As long as there is war, there will be internal problems within Russia," he stated.
Budanov refuted claims, in an interview with a Ukrainian TV channel, that Iran had supplied ballistic missiles to Russia. However, he confirmed that Russia has indeed used several missiles from North Korea in Ukraine, but clarified that such missiles are not used "en masse."
On Telegram, Budanov announced new attacks against Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied Crimean Peninsula. "New surprises await the enemy, and I would not recommend the civilian population to use what is known as the Crimean Bridge," he wrote in his post.
