Russia's Unexpected Military Move

Russia is currently in negotiations over the site of a future Russian military base in the Central African Republic, according to the Russian state news agency TASS, quoting the Central African Republic's Russian ambassador.
Negotiations are ongoing between the defense ministries of the two countries. The location for the base is being selected, stated Aleksandr Bikantov. According to The Guardian, the Central African Republic, a former French colony, has become one of Russia's closest allies in Africa in recent years and hosts one of the Wagner Group's largest foreign military operations.
